Christmas Mod — Full Festive Overhaul for GTA 5 Singleplayer
Bring the holiday spirit to your GTA 5 singleplayer experience with this comprehensive Christmas Mod. Inspired by Rockstar's online Festive Surprise events, this mod recreates and expands the holiday content for offline play — including Santa hats on NPCs, Christmas-themed vehicles, festive weapon skins, holiday decorations throughout Los Santos, and special seasonal events. It's the definitive way to celebrate the holidays in GTA 5 without needing GTA Online.
Holiday Content
Santa hats appear on random pedestrians throughout the city, with some NPCs wearing full Santa, elf, or reindeer costumes. Your player character can also equip various holiday outfits. Christmas vehicles include a Santa sleigh with reindeer, holiday-themed liveries for existing vehicles, and candy-cane painted police cars. Festive weapons feature holiday skins with red and green camo patterns, snowflake engravings, and Christmas ribbon wrapping on melee weapons.
Map Decorations
The entire Los Santos map receives holiday treatment — Christmas trees in every public square, wreaths on doors, string lights on buildings, and snow-covered surfaces if combined with a winter mod. Rockford Hills mansions feature elaborate yard displays, while Vespucci Beach gets a tropical Christmas vibe with palm trees wrapped in lights. The Diamond Casino features a massive holiday display visible from across the city.
Seasonal Events
The mod includes custom holiday events: a gift delivery minigame where you fly Santa's sleigh dropping presents, a snowball fight mode in specific locations, and a Christmas carol radio station playing holiday music. Some versions include a "Naughty or Nice" system where your behavior affects which holiday rewards you receive.
Installation
Requires Script Hook V, ScriptHookVDotNet, and OpenIV. The mod includes both script components (for events and NPC behavior) and replacement files (for textures and decorations). Install the OIV package via OpenIV and script files to your scripts folder. A custom gameconfig is recommended for the best experience. Compatible with LSPDFR for holiday-themed police patrol gameplay.
