QBCore Crafting System — Complete Item Creation
The QBCore Crafting System adds a versatile item creation mechanic to your FiveM roleplay server, allowing players to combine raw materials into useful tools, weapons, medical supplies, and other items at designated crafting stations. This comprehensive system features recipe-based crafting with skill requirements, material gathering integration, crafting animations, and a progression system that rewards dedicated crafters with access to increasingly valuable recipes.
Recipe-Based Crafting
The crafting system operates on a flexible recipe framework where administrators define ingredient requirements, crafting time, skill level needed, and output items. Recipes can produce anything from basic repair kits and lockpicks to advanced weapons, medical kits, and specialized equipment. Each recipe displays required materials, success probability, and crafting duration, giving players clear information to plan their material gathering and crafting sessions.
Crafting Stations and Locations
Different item categories are crafted at specialized stations placed throughout the map. Weapon workbenches handle firearm assembly and modification, medical tables produce health supplies, electronics benches create hacking tools and radios, and general workbenches handle everyday items. Each station type has a unique interface and can be placed at legal locations like shops or hidden in criminal hideouts for illicit item production. Station access can be restricted by job, gang, or key items.
Skill Progression System
Players develop their crafting abilities through a skill system where successful crafts earn experience points in specific categories like metalworking, electronics, chemistry, and tailoring. Higher skill levels unlock advanced recipes, improve success rates, reduce crafting time, and occasionally produce bonus items. Failed crafting attempts consume some materials but still grant minimal experience, encouraging continued practice even at lower skill levels.
Installation and Configuration
Add the crafting resource to your QBCore server and configure recipes, station locations, skill requirements, and material definitions in the configuration files. The system integrates with qb-inventory for material management and supports custom item images for crafted products. Admin commands allow real-time recipe additions and modifications without server restart. Blueprint items can be found or purchased to unlock special recipes, adding exploration and economic dimensions to the crafting career.
