LA Roads — Photorealistic Road Textures for GTA 5 (2026)
LA Roads replaces all road and sidewalk textures in GTA 5 with high-resolution, photorealistic versions based on actual Los Angeles streets. This mod transforms the ground you drive on into something remarkably lifelike, with realistic asphalt, lane markings, cracks, and curbs.

Compatibility
-
Graphics mods — fully compatible with NVE, QuantV, VisualV, and ENB presets
-
Map mods — compatible unless they replace the same road texture files
-
Vehicle mods — no conflicts (different file types)
-
Other texture packs — may conflict with mods that also replace road
.ytd files; install LA Roads last
-
FiveM/FivePD — can be used on FiveM servers if the server allows client-side texture mods
Performance Impact
- The 2K version has negligible FPS impact on most systems
- The 4K version may cause 2-5 FPS drop on systems with limited VRAM
- Road textures are always visible, so they're constantly loaded — VRAM matters more than GPU speed
- If experiencing texture pop-in, increase
TextureBudget in game settings or gameconfig.xml
- Consider using the Lite version if running many other texture mods simultaneously
